The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru has assured that all grievances and dispute arising from the recently concluded primaries would be amicably resolved to strengthen unity and guarantee the party’s victory in forthcoming 2027 General elections.

Basiru while speaking with newsmen shortly after 2 Rakat at Eid prayer ground in Osogbo to commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir celebration, also urged those who won to have sense of togetherness ahead of the election.

He also used the occasion to admonished Nigerians to continue to pray for the progress of the country and also for success of the administration of President Bola Tinubu, saying, “This is a challenging time but President is doing all things possible to address them.”

According to him, “This is a very solemn religious programme and it is anchored on keeping of covenant by Prophet Ibrahim in regard to his son Ismail and it calls to sacrifice, belief, endurance and perseverance.

“So we want to pray that God almighty will continue to prosper us and leaders must also continue to abide by the lessons of keeping covenant with the people and of course ensuring that we persevere and we also abide by what will make us to be best in the country.”

He noted that “We urge Nigerians to continue to support the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Just as he said a some few days ago, we know these are challenging times and of course the President is doing all in his capacity to ensure that we get elevated, economic issues get resolved, security challenges get resolved and the youth are gainfully employed of course children of the poor get educated.”

“So we want to implore Nigerian people to continue to support the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to continue to pray for the success of our country,” he added.

Speaking about post-primaries, “There’s always peaceful resolution mechanism, both before and after primary elections so we believe that the political party will put in place peaceful resolution mechanism to ensure that we resolve all our dispute but we also want to endure all those that won the election to have a sense of togetherness and also carry along those who are not so successful in that election.”

He cautioned that “leaders must also create an even level playground for people to play politics with equity, Justice and fairness.” (The Nation)
