Governor Godswill Akpabio has enjoined Akwa Ibom people to ignore any fake prophecy claiming that God has already anointed a particular person as a governor in 2015, but to pray for the emergence of the right one.
Akpabio made the callyesterdayat the solemnisation of the holy matrimony between Lady Grace Oso and Prelate Isaiah Issong of The Believers Assembly Church at Mbiabong Etoi, Uyo.
“Akwa Ibom people should make sure that they are not misled by fake prophecies from some clergy men who claim that God has anointed this person or that other person as governor in 2015, rather we should all seek the face of God through prayers and allow God to take charge of the affairs of the state,” he stated.
Applauding true men of God in the state, the governor remarked: “We should never take real men of God for granted because whatever they bless is blessed and whatever they curse is cursed. So, I must thank all the clergy men who have always interceded for the state through their continuous prayers. And I must say their prayers have always kept the state secure. Therefore, I call on all Akwa Ibom people to also pray for them to continue in doing the great works for God.”
Chief Akpabio, who congratulated the couple on their wedding, further said: “Prelate Isaiah Issong is a real man of God. God truly called him to the altar and whenever he prays for the state, positive things happen in the state. Today, he has made the right choice in marrying today.”
According to him, “With the loss of his first wife ‘May her soul rest in peace’whom he loved and cared dearly until the will of God was done for God to take her away and later Lady Grace Oso entered his life and today we are here to celebrate with them.
“As the Prelate is joined today with his new wife, I pray that the same love and care he had for the late wife should be the same to his new wife. And I also pray that this marriage lasts long and makes the ministry wax stronger,” he said.
