Renowned technology entrepreneur Leo Stan Ekeh
By CHARLES IWUOHA
The Chairman of Zinox Technologies, Leo Stan Ekeh, has responded to growing calls from admirers and stakeholders urging him to contest the forthcoming governorship election in Imo State.
Speaking during the celebration organised by the Holy Ghost College Owerri Old Boys Association, the globally renowned technology entrepreneur made it clear that he has no political ambition.
According to him, “I am not a politician. If I wanted to become Governor of Imo State, I would have done so long ago. Even my village house was built with that possibility in mind. But I cannot be everything. I chose my path, and that path is not politics.”
Leo Stan Ekeh made the remarks during the commissioning of a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) Computer Centre he donated to his alma mater, Holy Ghost College Owerri. The facility, valued at over ?500 million, is expected to enhance digital learning and technological advancement within the institution.
The AI Computer Centre was commissioned by Lucius Ugorji, the Archbishop of the Owerri Metropolitan Province.
The event attracted several distinguished old boys and dignitaries, including Dr Anselem Opara, Martins Uchenna Nwankwo, Prof. Anthony Okere, among others.
The occasion was widely described as a celebration of excellence, philanthropy, and commitment to educational development in Imo State.
