Rev Fr Emmanuel Obimma, aka Ebube Muonso
By PAMELA EBOH, Awka
The Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, a.k.a Ebube Muonso, has lashed Nigeria leadership structure, describing it as a 'horrible paradigm driven by poor governance from the top.
Stating this during a chat with journalists at his parish office in Umudioka, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, the cleric called for a shift toward servant leadership at Nigeria’s highest levels of government, saying that such is critical to reviving the nation’s economy and restoring public confidence.
He harped on the need for a fundamental political reset, noting that meaningful national progress depends on leaders of strong character capable of influencing systemic change from the presidency downward.
Obimma said: "Nigeria’s economic strength hinges on the quality of leadership. Only credible and capable individuals can deliver the transformation the country seeks."
On security in Anambra State, Fr. Obimma acknowledged improvements and hailed Governor Chukwuma Soludo for proactive measures, particularly the establishment of the “Udo ga achi” security outfit.
He added: "I personally invested heavily in security and urged sustained efforts to further stabilize the state and the country at large."
On spiritual matters, the cleric condemned the growing trend of staged or fabricated miracles among some religious leaders, insisting that God is the only source of miracles.
He however urged ministers to embrace sincerity, sacrifice, and truth in their calling. Highlighting the importance of prayer and divine intervention, Obimma said that his ministry is currently engaged in a 90-day prayer programme with plans with plans for a 30-day fasting period in July.
While insisting that spiritual authority cannot be manufactured, the cleric called for repentance rather than punishment for erring clerics.
