Delta gov, others attend Obi Cubanas birthday celebration, estate unveiling
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Sunday attended the 51st birthday celebration of Obi Cubana, during which the Signature Home at Cubana Millennium City in Asaba was unveiled.
The event, held at the project site in Asaba, Delta State, drew dignitaries, industry leaders and investors, highlighting the growing importance of the development as a driver of urban transformation in the state.
According to a statement issued by the media team of Cubana Group, speaking at the occasion, Oborevwori commended the entrepreneur for investing in Delta State, describing the Cubana Millennium City as a landmark project with the potential to reshape Asaba and the surrounding areas.
“This development is not just about housing; it is about creating a new economic ecosystem. Projects like the Cubana Millennium City will significantly transform Asaba, extending growth and opportunities across neighbouring communities and strengthening our position as a key urban hub in the South-South and South-East corridors,” he said.
The governor added that his administration would continue to support private sector-driven initiatives aligned with its goals of economic expansion, infrastructure development and job creation.
The unveiling of the Signature Home marks a key milestone in the Cubana Millennium City project, serving as a model for the quality, design and lifestyle the development is expected to deliver.
In his remarks, Obi Cubana expressed appreciation to the governor and other guests, stating that the project is driven by a long-term vision to build a world-class residential and commercial hub.
“We are building more than houses—we are building a city that will stand the test of time and can rival any city in Africa. A place where people can live, work, invest, and thrive in an environment that meets global standards. This is our contribution to the growth of Asaba and the broader Nigerian economy,” he said.
He noted that the project’s location, near Asaba Airport and along major transport routes, positions it as an attractive investment destination with strong potential for value appreciation.
The Cubana Millennium City is designed as an integrated urban development comprising residential units, commercial spaces and lifestyle amenities, envisioned as a “city within a city.”
The event ended with a guided tour of the Signature Home, offering guests a first-hand view of the project’s architectural design and standards. (The PUNCH)
