Northern Governors’ Spouses’ Forum have resolved to address challenges of water supply in their region, saying they would continue on borehole drilling projects for the affected communities.

The Northern Governors spouses Forum revealed their mission in Gusau, zamfara state capital after the first quarterly meeting held on 10th April at the Government House in the state.

The meeting, chaired by Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya, wife of the Gombe State Governor, brought together spouses of Northern Governors to discuss initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of women, children, and vulnerable groups across the region.

In a communique issued at the end of their meeting signed by the chairperson Northern Governors Spouses Forum and secretary, Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya and Mrs. Fintiri resolved to Continue borehole drilling projects to address water supply challenges, Launch a new project in 2026.

They also resolved to Observe International Charity Day on September 5 every year, and to hold subsequent meetings every four months.

The Governors spouses Forum maintained that they remained committed to driving positive change and improving lives of people in their Region. (Saturday Tribune)
