Ex-Senate Ameh Ebute blessing and Dr Francis Ottah Agbo
A few days after receiving the blessing of the Igede Traditional Council in Oju, Chief Ameh Ebute endorsed the senatorial ambition of Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo also known as the Ozigizaga and Ubagidi of Enone politics.
Ebute, a Senate President in the aborted Third Republic, spoke in his Ugbokolo ancestral home when Dr Francis Ottah Agbo, the senatorial hopeful, recently paid him a courtesy call.
The veteran Senator eulogised Ozigizaga for his selfless service to the masses and country and prayed to God to open the way for him to become a Senator in 2027.
As he made his way into his Jeep to return to Abuja, he added: "Ottah, the APC should give you the Senatorial Ticket if we must have APC Senator in Benue South, because of the good work you have done in Benue South even though you only represented Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo LGAs. Anyone who wants to be Senator for the entire Zone C must have the reach across the 9 LGAs and you have the reach. You did very well. Everywhere I go, people talk about the countless jobs you have given to our people. You are a good and serious boy to be trusted!
"And the good thing about you is that when you become Senator, you are an automatic Ranking Senator, having been to the House of Representatives before. My blessings are with you."
The former Senate President has never hidden his admiration for the senatorial hopeful. During the commissioning of the iconic Chief Ameh Ebute Ultra-Modern Town Hall in Ojapo, Edumoga District, the former Senate President said Ottah had within four years in the National Assembly, done what no lawmaker in Benue South had done.
Dr. Francis Ottah Agbo was the Honourable Member representing Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Chairman, Narcotic Drugs Committee and Spokesman of the Minority Caucus from 2019 to 2023. He used the positions to deliver concrete legacy projects to his constituency as well as, empowered hundreds of youths/masses, by facilitating their employment into Federal Government agencies, ministries, Armed forces, paramilitary, and departments of government, etc.
