Students sitting for JAMB examination
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said 2.2 million candidates will write this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at 900 centres starting on April 16.
It urged those who registered for the examination to print their notification slips.
The board issued the directive in a statement yesterday in Abuja, through its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin.
The UTME will be held at over 900 computer-based test (CBT) centres across the country.
The statement said: “Candidates are strongly advised to print their examination slips in order to confirm their examination date, venue, and time, as the exercise will be conducted over several days.
“To print the examination slip, candidates should visit the Board’s website at https://www.jamb.gov.ng and click on “2026 UTME Slip Printing.
“Candidates are encouraged to print their slips early and familiarise themselves with their examination centres ahead of the examination date to avoid any inconvenience. Each candidate has been assigned a specific schedule on the notification slip which enables the candidate to arrive at the centre well ahead of examination time to allow for proper screening and accreditation before the commencement of the examination.
“This year’s examination features enhanced security measures designed to curb all forms of malpractice. Candidates and centre owners are, therefore, warned to desist from any form of misconduct, as strict sanctions will be applied.” (The Nation)
