By BONIFACE AKARAH
Former Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico and Pro-Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Adejare Bello, has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a goodwill message, Bello also extended his felicitations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, commending Muslim faithful for their devotion, discipline and adherence to the values of the holy month.
“Muslim brothers and sisters have demonstrated steadfastness, sacrifice, patience, charity and unity throughout the Ramadan fast,” he said.
The former envoy urged Nigerians to sustain these virtues beyond the festive period, stressing the need for peace, tolerance and national cohesion.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, all Nigerians must continue to uphold the virtues of peace, love, tolerance and national cohesion, which are essential for the progress and stability of our country,” Bello stated.
He also offered prayers for the nation’s leadership, particularly the President, asking for wisdom and strength in steering the affairs of the country.
“I pray for renewed strength, wisdom and divine guidance for the President as he continues to lead the nation,” he added.
Bello further prayed for peace, unity and prosperity across Nigeria, calling on citizens to remain committed to building a harmonious society.
He extended special prayers to the people of Osun State and the Ede community, seeking continued growth and development in the area.
The former ambassador also prayed for the Timi of Ede, asking for wisdom, long life and a peaceful reign.
“Eid Mubarak to all Muslim faithful. May this season bring abundant joy, blessings and renewed hope to our nation,” Bello said.
