Billionaire business man and Anambra state house of assembly aspirant, Hon. Obinna Igboebisi, has doled out fifty thousand naira to pupils of Obiajulu Igboebisi House for emerging the winners of the 2026 Obosi Central School inter-house sports competition.
The school's Inter-house sports competition, which was sponsored by notable and well-heeled Obosi indigenes, took place at Obosi Central School field on March 18, 2026.
Hon. Igboebisi gave the pupils of Obiajulu Igboebisi House – winners of the competition – the sum of fifty thousand naira to sustain their interest in sports as their participation in sporting activities would enhance their physical and mental development.
“When you reward pupils’ excellent performance in sports, it will sustain their interest in sports.
“And it will spur them to aspire to better their performance in sporting activities.
“Again, Obiajulu Igboebisi House, the winner of the competition, is named after my dad to memorialize him,” Igboebisi said.
More so, the head teacher of the school, Mrs. Patience ‘Ochiora’ Okafor, expressed her gratitude to God and individuals, who gave financial and material assistance to the school for the hosting of the school’s inter-house sports competition.
“I am happy that we hosted the event. It’s like a miracle.
“God proved that He is God, indeed, through Obosi indigenes, who assisted the school to host the event,” Okafor said.
Mrs. Okafor mentioned Hon. Obinna Igboebisi, Mrs. Osameka, Chief Darlington Okenwa (Ogbuaku), and Chief Molokwu as some of the sponsors of the school’s inter-house sports competition.
These Houses participated in the Central School inter-house sports competition: Osameka House, Obiajulu Igboebisi House, Molokwu House, Michael Chukwura House, Ada Igboebisi House, Obi Billion House, Oguchi Nnabuenyi House, Mbanugo House, and Ogbuaku Okenwa House.
And the starry-eyed pupils of the school participated in these sports, namely egg race, sack race, march past, hundred metres race, 200 metres race, relay race, and picking of tennis.
While Obiajulu Igboebisi House House came first, Molokwu House and Mbanugo House came second and third, respectively.
Teachers Ukamaka Bernard and Anazodo Uchenna Precious, who are teachers in the school, worked tirelessly to ensure that the event took place.
