Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has said that he has no problem with the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, as they are united in achieving success for the party in the 2027 elections.

He disclosed that every action of the deputy speaker, especially during the recent party congresses, was done in consultation with him and in the best interest of the party.

The Senator, who stated this while addressing members of the Reality Organisation and the OUK Movement from the 17 council areas of the state, at his residence in Igbere, Bende council area, explained that there is no division in the APC as the party has been well-positioned to win the state in the 2027 general elections.

He assured that all party leaders are united, noting that “genuine reconciliation” had already taken place in the APC.

Kalu noted that President Bola Tinubu has worked hard to improve infrastructure across the state.

He challenged Governor Alex Otti not to hide the high-level support the President has given to the state.

“I want to remind you that APC is one in Abia State. There is no faction. Everything the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, did was agreed on before it was done. Benjamin Kalu is a full member of Reality Organisation. I’m even expecting the state chairman of the APC,” Kalu said.

“APC is one and we are going to fight as one. We will deliver President Bola Tinubu, we will deliver the governor, three senators, eight House of Representatives and the 24 members of the House of Assembly. We won’t leave out anyone.

“There is full reconciliation in APC. Anybody who doesn’t want reconciliation should go to another party. We are not going to leave anything to chance. What we saw in 2023 won’t happen again. We will deliver.

“We are going to put in everything we have into the election. We are ready to win, we are not going to run away from our state because of anybody, no matter his status. Abia State must belong to the centre. “We will no longer stand alone. I have told President Tinubu that we will deliver. The President has committed lots of money to Abia State. The governor should thank Tinubu openly, not only in secret.”

Earlier, former speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Chinedum Orji, described Kalu as the father of all politicians in the state and urged the party members to rally behind him to enable the APC take its rightful place in the 2027 general elections.

“Every politician in Abia started with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu. I’m with Senator Orji Uzor Kalu wherever he stands. Where he stands is where I am. Nobody can challenge him going back to the Senate in 2027,” Orji said. (Vanguard)
