NDYFGG National President Lucky OO Ukueku
The National President of the Niger Delta Youth For Good Governance (NDYFGG), Comr. Lucky O.O. Ukueku, has strongly dismissed a recent press release issued by individuals claiming to be ex-agitators, describing it as misleading, provocative, and an attempt to deceive the Nigerian public.
In an official statement released on Wednesday in Abuja, Ukueku, Pioneer National President of PAP Scholarship Students Worldwide, questioned both the authenticity of the claims and the legitimacy of the individuals behind the publication. He urged members of the public and stakeholders to disregard the threats of protest and alleged demands, stressing that such actions do not represent the collective position of beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).
According to him, the current PAP Administrator, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, has demonstrated exceptional leadership and remains one of the most impactful administrators since the inception of the programme. He highlighted key achievements under Dr. Otuaro’s administration, including the deployment of the highest number of Niger Delta youths to universities within Nigeria and abroad, alongside ongoing vocational trainings and capacity-building programmes across various locations locally and internationally.
Comr. Ukueku noted that these initiatives have continued to empower thousands of youths, promote regional stability, and strengthen sustainable development in the Niger Delta region. He therefore questioned the motives of those attempting to incite unrest despite the visible progress being recorded.
He alleged that individuals calling for protests are merely seeking personal recognition and pursuing selfish interests that threaten regional peace and development. The NDYFGG President called on security agencies to remain vigilant and hold accountable anyone who attempts to disrupt peace and stability in the Niger Delta especially as the election is drowning closer.
On behalf of NDYFGG, Comr. Ukueku reaffirmed the organization’s full endorsement of Dr. Otuaro’s leadership and urged all well-meaning stakeholders to support ongoing reforms in line with the Renewed Hope agenda.
He further cautioned against what he described as “seasonal actors driven by a pull-him-down mentality,” whose actions, he said, are aimed at undermining progress for personal gain.
