Umaru Yunusa (Lere East) was appointed the new Majority Leader and Philemon Gidanmanna fromMakera Constituency as the new Chief Whip. Gidanmanna was the Speaker Pro-Tempo who presided over the nomination of the new Speaker.
Esther Habu representing Sanga Constituency is now the Deputy Majority Leader and Bala Yunus representing Tudun-Wada Constituency the new Minority leader. His deputy is Haliru Sambo while Yakubu Yusuf Soja was appointed is the Minority Whip.
