Musical policeman Ishola Adeyinka alias Askarifuji
Alhaji Ishola Adeyinka, popularly known as Askarifuji, is making waves as a unique blend of public service and entertainment. This talented Fuji musician and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has been using his music to promote discipline, moral values, and peaceful coexistence, while fighting crime and social vices.
Askarifuji’s music career took off in 1998 with his debut album “Loyalty”, which gained popularity both locally and internationally. Since then, he has released 12 albums, including “Ibadan”, which promotes the ancient city and corrects misconceptions about it. His music has helped strengthen the relationship between the police and the public, projecting a positive image of law enforcement.
Beyond music, Askarifuji is a cultural leader, installed as Mogaji Alare Agbejonku of the Agbejonku Royal Dynasty, Oyo State. He has received awards, including “The Champion of Ibadan Culture” from the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII).
Askarifuji’s dedication to service and culture is inspiring. His unique blend of policing and music makes him a standout in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
