Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta has graciously approved the recall of the suspended member representing the Ndokwa Ethnic Nationality in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Dr Charles Olise.
The representative was suspended for three months through a circular dated October 7, 2025 and signed by the secretary to the state government, Dr Kingsley Emu on accusation of misconduct at work, “which is capable of polluting the ethical and professional standards underpinning the general affairs of the Commission.”
According to a statement signed by Dr. Emu, the lifting of the suspension by the governor is in line with the spirit of the new year and in his magnanimity to forgive especially as Dr Olise has shown remorse during the period of his suspension. (Tribune)
