Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has dismissed claims circulating on social media that she recently gave birth to a second child with another man.

The rumour, which surfaced on X (formerly Twitter), alleged that Omowunmi had welcomed a baby girl, sparking widespread reactions online.

While some social media users defended her right to move on, others criticised her, alleging that she had another child before her late husband’s burial.

Reacting to the claims via her Snapchat account, Omowunmi described the allegation as false and a deliberate attempt to tarnish her image.

“You guys are funny on Twitter. Mohbad’s wife gave birth? This smear campaign is funny asf,” she wrote.

“Why are you wishing me bad? Because what is this?” she added.

Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances. His death remains under investigation, and his body is reportedly still in the mortuary pending burial.
