2025 MAIDEN EDITION OF THE OBOSI NIGHT OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP BANNER
By CHIEDU UCHE OKOYE
The musical renditions of gospel artistes created an atmosphere of ethereality, spookiness, eeriness, and giddiness at the Obosi township stadium, which was the venue of the 2025 maiden edition of the Obosi night of praise and worship.
Musical artistes, who have achieved distinction and renown in the genre of gospel music, entertained the Christian faithful and people of other religious demographics and persuasions in Obosi, Anambra, with soul-stirring songs that ministered to their spiritual needs.
The gospel artistes performed at the event tagged Obosi night of praise and worship, which took place at the Obosi township stadium on December 26, 2025.
The Obosi night of praise, which took place during the night of December 26, and lasted until the wee hours of December 27, attracted great musical acts and ministers of God like Mr. M and Revelation, Chinyere Udoma, Evangelist Joy Okam Lazarus, Patience Ozokwor, Prophet Austin Meche, Bishop Ben Obiagwuna, and others.
The religious night event, which was organized by the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation, had the theme, “come let us praise God together”.
The event started with an opening prayer said by Bishop Obiagwuna, who asked God to make the Obosi night of praise and worship a success.
In his opening remarks, the founder of the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation, Engr. Eric Anyamene, stated that the Obosi night of praise and worship would become a permanent fixture and an annual event in the Obosi kingdom.
“This event will not stop after this inaugural/maiden edition. It shall become an annual event.
“And as long as I live, I will set aside one day to praise and worship God, specially,
“So tonight, God will know that the people of Obosi, the people of Idemili north and south LGAs, the people of Anambra state, and the people of Nigeria are worshipping Him,” Anyamene said.
Again, the President General of the Obosi Development Union (ODU), Barr. Chimezie Obi, eulogized the parents of Engr. Eric Anyamene for the good parental upbringing, which they gave their son, Engr. Eric Anyamene.
“Teach a child the way he should follow, and when he grows up, he will not depart from it,
“I am giving thanks to Engr. Eric Anyamene’s parents for bringing up their child in a godly way,
“Their influence and moral teachings have rubbed off on him and shaped his personality,” Obi said.
More so, the chairman of the Eric Nnamdi Anyamene Foundation, Barr. Onyeka Nwokolo, thanked the Obosi people for turning up en masse for the religious event.
Soon after the event started, a TV/Radio presenter, Macson justice Nwasike, dazzled the people with his songs and sinuous dance steps.
And Prudent and Joy Okam, each, performed, spectacularly, to the wild applause and admiration of the people.
But not surprisingly, the Obosi night of praise and worship climaxed with the entrance of gospel songstress, Chinyere Udoma, on the stage.
The people at the event were so enraptured by her soulful and delightful rendition of her songs that they sang alongside with her, and chanted those songs’ refrains and choruses.
So to say that they were entertained and transported to the mountain of ecstacy by Chinyere Udoma’s philosophical and melodious songs is to state an obvious and indisputable fact.
It was a night of entertainment and lifting of souls to God that, before then, had never happened in Obosi kingdom.
The 2025 Obosi night of praise and worship has been seared into the hearts of the people, who attended the event. And it marked the return of night life to the town of Obosi, which was once held in the thralldom of grave security challenges.
