By BONIFACE AKARAH
Pioneer National President of PAP Scholarship Students Worldwide, Comrade Lucky Oweizide Oborakpororo Ukueku, has felicitated with people of the Niger Delta on the Christmas season, praying for peace, development and increased opportunities in the region.
Ukueku made the call in a Christmas goodwill message issued on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Warri, Delta State, where he also urged unity among Niger Delta leaders, youths and beneficiaries of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).
“I join my principals, Dr. Dennis Burtu Otuaro and Sir Edgar Daniel Biu, to wish Niger Deltans, especially PAP beneficiaries, a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year,” Ukueku said.
Ukueku, who is also the National President of the Niger Delta Youth for Good Governance (NDYFGG), commended the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Burtu Otuaro, for what he described as deliberate efforts to reposition the programme and improve the welfare of beneficiaries.
“The PAP boss and his team are committed to changing the programme’s trajectory to benefit Niger Delta residents and enhance development among beneficiaries,” he said.
He praised Otu’ro’s achievements, citing the deployment of thousands of Niger Delta youths to universities within and outside the country, as well as the provision of leadership and capacity-building training.
Ukueku urged beneficiaries of the programme to remain patient and steadfast, expressing confidence that the ongoing reforms would yield positive results for the region.
He also called on Niger Delta leaders, ex-agitators and PAP scholarship students worldwide to remain focused and united in the interest of regional development.
“Without unity and love, our region cannot attract opportunities and development,” Ukueku said.
The youth leader concluded by praying for more opportunities, sustainable development and lasting peace in the Niger Delta region as Nigerians celebrate Christmas and look forward to the new year.
