Nigeria’s Super Eagles this Tuesday night, December 23, 2025, begin their campaign in Morocco with victory over hard-fighting Taifa Stars of Tanzania in their opening Group C match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Eagles, who took control of the game from the blast of the referee’s whistle, broke the deadlock in the 36th minute after defender Semi Ajayi headed Alex Iwobi’s cross into the back of the net.
