Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has hailed Professor Daniel Nwachukwu on his emergence as the 4th Vice Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi State.
Nwifuru, heartily congratulated Professor Nwachukwu, a Professor of Cardiovascular Physiology a proud son of Okposi, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, on his well-deserved emergence as the 4th Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, following his appointment by the Governing Council of the University.
Governor Nwifuru asserted that Professor Nwachukwu's emergence was not accidental but was based on hard work and experience.
"This historic appointment is a confirmation and hallmark of your outstanding academic pedigree, proven leadership capacity, and years of dedicated service to scholarship and institutional development".
He expressed confidence that his emergence appeals to stakeholders even as it will usher in a new dawn of research innovation for the University.
"Your emergence inspires confidence among stakeholders that the University is set to witness a new era of purposeful leadership, academic excellence, and sustainable growth.
“As a government, we are confident that your vision for the University will be thoughtfully aligned with the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda, for which Ebonyi State is now widely known and anchored on human capital development, inclusive progress, and transformational governance, and in your context, teaching, research and community services.”
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Dr. Monday Uzor and made available to journalists in Abakaliki.
According to the Governor, “The University is expected to further strengthen its role as a centre of excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community service under your headship.”
