Gov Mbah of Enugu State
Mandatory digital skills training has now been institutionalized as a prerequisite for civil service promotions across Enugu State.
Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Special Adviser, MSMEs & Digital Economy, and DG, Enugu SME Centre/Enugu MSME & Startup Agency, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday. This, according to the statement, is “in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s bold vision to transform Enugu into a digitally driven, efficient, and citizen-responsive government.”
Continuing, Chilo-Offiah said: “Following the successful rollout of multiple training cohorts led by the Enugu SME Centre / Office of Digital Economy (Enugu MSME & Startup Agency), over tens of thousands of civil servants have been empowered with productivity, e-governance, and cybersecurity skills across MDAs and LGAs.
“This landmark reform ensures that no public servant is left behind in the digital age—boosting transparency, accelerating e-service delivery, and upskilling our workforce to drive Governor Mbah’s “Tomorrow is Here” agenda.”
