Mohamed Salah flight diverted

Mohamed Salah is reportedly en route to Saudi Arabia before AFCON. The forward's future remains uncertain following his fiery outburst in the mixed zone after the match against Leeds United.

However, he made a comeback against Brighton and Hove Albion, assisting Ekitike's second goal of the game.

Saudi broadcaster Al-Riyadiya reports that Salah will travel to Jeddah before joining his Egyptian teammates in Morocco.

The primary reason is to undertake the Umrah pilgrimage and he may also meet with the Saudi Ministry of Tourism.

Star to bid adieu

Under-16s footballer Kai Morrall has bid farewell to Liverpool following eight years with the club.

The youngster joined as an under-9s recruit and has since gone on to represent Ireland at international level.

Taking to Instagram to announce his exit, the teenager shared: "After 8 years at Liverpool, it is time for me to say goodbye.

"I would like to thank all the staff and the coaches that helped me develop into a better player and a person.

"I will miss the memories and friends I made along the way; however, I am looking forward to starting a new chapter and hopefully more things to come."

Morrall is set to join Leeds United, with LeedsLive reporting that the West Yorkshire club will pay a nominal compensation fee. The transfer will be completed next year. (ECHO)
