An NNPCL petrol station
The Nigerian Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on Thursday reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit (petrol) for the second time in less than one week.
NNPCL retail outlets in Abuja showed that the state-owned oil firm has reduced its petrol price to N920 per litre, down from N930.
This means that NNPCL adjusted its fuel retail price by N10 per litre.
The new petrol price was implemented in NNPCL filling stations in Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, on Thursday.
The NNPCL had earlier slashed its petrol price on November 28, 2025, by 15 per litre.
The spokesperson of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Chinedu Ukadike, revealed that fuel prices would continue to drop amid competition among major players in the country’s downstream oil sector. (Blueprint)
