Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Leader of the Church of Christ in Nations, has said that having President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as Muslims amounts to genocide against Christians in Nigeria.
He made the comment on Monday during an interview on The Morning Brief, on Channels Television programme, while speaking on alleged genocide against Christians in the country.
“Shettima is a muslim, the president is a muslim. Is that not complete genocide to Christians in the political world?
He warned that the leadership is pushing an Islamic agenda to dominate the country, urging all Christians to be aware and steadfast in their faith.
“They are displaying Islamic agenda. They want to control the whole country. All Christians should wake up from their slumber and face the Bible because these people want to make every Christian to become Muslim by force.”
The cleric also expressed concern over rising tensions in parts of the country, saying that Christians cannot remain passive while these threats continue.
“We don’t sit on it. We have seen it. Can you see this thing hanging? Look at how it’s moving towards Kwara. Can’t you see what’s happening? Did Kwara people kill their cow or do something? And they will paint it that it is reprisal,” he added.
Rev. Dachomo concluded by stressing that Christians must act to protect future generations, warning that the nation is ignoring attempts by Islamic extremists to seize control.
“We cannot continue to stay quiet because I can’t hand over my grandchildren to Islam. There’s an agenda of these Islamic terrorists to take over the country, and the nation is sleeping and doesn’t want to use those who want to help tackle this insecurity,” he stressed.
