Senate confirms NCC’s board

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has confirmed its board members following a successful screening exercise at the National Assembly.

The NCC Head of Public Affairs, Mrs Nnenna Ukoha, who made this known in a statement said that the Committee on Communications confirmed the appointment on Tuesday in Abuja.

Ukoha said that the committee had confirmed Idris Olorunnimbe representing South West as Chairman of the board.

She said that the Senate also confirmed Maryam Bayi representing North East, Sen. Ramoni Mustafa for South West, and Ikechukwu Ugwuegede for South East as commissioners of the NCC board.

“Other members of the board confirmed by the Senate are Princess Emiko, representing South South and Christopher Okorie for South South,” she said.

She said that the board chairman and commissioners joined the Executive Vice-Chairman, Dr Aminu Maida (North West), Abraham Oshadami, Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, (North Central).
