Wizkid’s 14-Year-Old Son Champz Makes History With No. 1 Debut On Apple Music Nigeria

Boluwatife “Champz” Balogun, the 14-year-old son of Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, has stormed onto the music scene with his debut EP ‘Champion’s Arrival’, which premiered at No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top Albums chart.

Released on November 11, 2025, the five-track, 11-minute project shot to the top of the chart within just five hours of its release, making Champz the youngest artist ever to reach No. 1 on Apple Music’s album chart in Nigeria.

Blending Afrobeats rhythms with UK grime influences, ‘Champion’s Arrival’ features no guest artists, showcasing Champz’s solo artistry and confidence.

Reactions to the release have dominated social media, with clips of Champz’s music circulating widely on TikTok and X. Many fans have noted his musical poise and creativity at such a young age, drawing comparisons to his father’s early rise in the industry. (ARISE NEWS)
