
Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle

The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has called on its members to be watchful against ‘spoilers’ as its preparing to receive Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Matawalle.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the state APC chapter announced the four-day visit to the state of its leader, former Governor, Matawalle, which begins on Thursday.
A statement Issued in Gusau on Sunday by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris, urged the members of the party to be watchful against “spoilers” during the minister’s visit.
He said, “Members of our great party should be warned also that no weapon of any type is allowed to be carried by anyone, therefore, be watchful against spoilers who may seize the opportunity to bring negative impact on the visit.
“The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress APC wishes to happily announce the visit of its leader, former governor and Minister of state for defence to the state.
“The party under the leadership of Tukur Danfulani invites all party members, supporters, and admirers to turn out in mass on Thursday, to receive the minister from 2:00pm at Kotorkoshi area of Bungudu local government area of the state,” Idris said.
“On arrival, the august visitor will meet with the party members to be supported by the former governors, deputy governors and other leaders at his residence in Gusau.
“On the next day, Friday, the party leaders will lead a stakeholders meeting at the state APC state Secretariat while on Saturday 15th Nov., he will proceed to his hometown of Maradun to continue meetings with party and family members.”
Idris appealed for the cooperation of security agencies for a smooth outing, adding “we strongly implore our members and supporters to as usual, be law abiding and of good conduct throughout the outlined programme and beyond.” (NAN)
