APC’s ANPP political bloc demands presidency in 2031

Members of the former All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) bloc of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have called for fairness and equity in their party’s dealings, demanding that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should hand over power to the bloc when his tenure expires in 2031.

The bloc stated none-inclusion of former ANPP members in the service of our nation since the formation of APC which the party leadership co- initiated and part funded.

Their demand was made during the third leadership meeting where the bloc deliberated on issues concerning our common interests as members of the former All Nigerian Peoples Party, ANPP of the APC bloc.

The group recall that during their last meeting of July 28, 2025, the bloc made the following demands from the president which include; appointing them as board members, Ambassadors, Ministers, heads of government agencies and departments just as the case with other parties that merge to form APC.

This was contained in a statement signed by the National coordinator, Professor Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe, and the National Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi, and made available to journalists in Abuja few days ago.

Part of the statement ready "Vice Presidential Seat to remain sacrosanct for the former ANPP bloc in APC as the second largest contributor to the formation of APC. Since the formation of APC, CPC bloc has ruled for 8 years under the late President Buhari.

"The ACN bloc is currently occupying the Presidency. Fairness and equity demand that our President should hand over power to the ANPP bloc when his tenure expires in 2031.We hope Mr. President is looking into these our demands.

"While still waiting for our President to look into our demands, we have resolved today to galvanize our structures and members in the 774 local government arears of the Country to ensure regular meeting so as to mobilize support for the re-election of our President for the 2027 elections.

"To organize a mega match in the federal capital Abuja in support of President Tinubu’s re-election at a date to be decided later.

"To work with the campaign structure of our Party, APC for the re-election of President Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.

(d) That we hereby endorse His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tunubu GCFR and his policies and programs for a better Nigeria

(e) Formally congratulate our National Chairman, Prof. Nentawa Goshwe Yilwatda on his appointment as our national Chairman. We are happy to work with him.

"We hereby mandate all our leaders to ensure regular meetings at their different LGAs and states.”
