Governor Soludo

By PETER ANOSIKE

The Anambra State Liaison Officer in Lagos, Leo Chiegboka, has said that the administration of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has continued to record significant strides in governance, with visible achievements in security, economic transformation, infrastructure, and social development across the state.

Speaking in an interview with newsmen, he said that the Soludo-led government has demonstrated that visionary leadership, fiscal prudence, and people-centered policies can truly transform a state.

According to him, under Soludo’s leadership, security has taken center stage, restoring peace and safety across communities once plagued by insecurity.

Chiegboka noted that strategic security operations have dismantled criminal networks and reclaimed areas previously under siege by armed groups.

His words, “ With Agunechemba na Udo Ga Chi – our state now enjoys greater peace and security, residents and businesses are now thriving in a more stable environment. In the area of economic growth, Anambra is being repositioned as a hub for industrialization and innovation. The government’s “Made in Anambra” initiative continues to encourage local production, empower entrepreneurs, and attract investors. Leveraging opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), the state is gradually becoming one of Nigeria’s emerging centers for technology, industry, and commerce.”

According to him, fiscal discipline has also been a defining feature of the Soludo administration, adding that without resorting to reckless borrowing, the government has managed state resources prudently, ensuring that every expenditure directly benefits the people.

He said that Anambra Is now financially self-reliant and focused on value for money.

He also said that transparency and accountability have restored public trust in governance.

Speaking further, he said that massive infrastructure projects are transforming the landscape of the state and that over 800 kilometers of roads are under construction or rehabilitation, alongside the completion of signature projects such as the Ekwulobia Flyover, modern healthcare centers, and the long-awaited Anambra Government House and Governor’s Lodge — the first in 34 years.

According to him, the transformation in urban centers like Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Ekwulobia speaks for itself.

“Beyond physical infrastructure, Soludo’s administration is investing heavily in people. With free education in public schools from nursery to SS3, the recruitment of over 8,000 qualified teachers, the establishment of Smart Schools, and the One Youth, Two Skills initiative, Anambra’s young population is being equipped for a productive future. The state’s healthcare sector has equally seen remarkable progress, with new hospitals, over 300 primary healthcare centers, and international recognition for outstanding performance. These are verifiable facts — transformation you can see and feel.” Chiegboka said

He urged Ndi Anambra to reject political propaganda and support continued progress by voting wisely in the forthcoming election.
