Boxing icon Mike Tyson has described his recent visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo as a “life-changing experience,” expressing deep admiration for the country and its people.
In a post shared on X on Friday, Tyson said he was moved by his time in the Central African nation, where he met President Félix Tshisekedi.
“My trip to Congo was a life-changing experience. The people there are beautiful! I look forward to returning. Very thankful to have met the president, @Presidence_RDC,” Tyson wrote.
The former heavyweight champion’s visit to the DRC reportedly included cultural tours and engagements aimed at strengthening sports and entertainment ties between the country and global figures. His meeting with President Tshisekedi at the presidential palace in Kinshasa was seen as part of ongoing efforts to promote tourism and international investment in the country.
