All of the remaining living hostages in Gaza have been freed from Hamas captivity and are back in Israel after two years of war. A group of 13 hostages has just been escorted across the border by the Israeli military, after a group of seven hostages was released earlier.

The hostages were kidnapped by Hamas during the October 7 attacks in 2023. They include twin brothers Ziv and Gali Berman, and Omri Miran, who was pictured reuniting with his wife Lishay.

The remains of up to 28 deceased hostages are yet to be handed over.

In exchange for the hostages, Israel is releasing 250 Palestinian prisoners and more than 1,700 detainees – the first groups have begun arriving in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank and Gaza.

Hundreds of people in Gaza are also awaiting the release of 1,718 Palestinian detainees held in Israel since October 7, 2023.

US President Donald Trump has now arrived at Israel’s parliament, where he has met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Later, he will address members of the Knesset as well as meeting some of the families of the hostages.

Trump will then head to Egypt, where leaders from more than 20 countries will join a summit on Gaza’s future.

A large American delegation is on hand inside the Knesset to hear US President Donald Trump’s speech.

Officials from the US administration include Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, Joint Chiefs chairman Gen. Dan Caine, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and senior adviser Stephen Miller.

Trump’s daughter Ivanka – whose husband Jared Kushner helped broker the ceasefire agreement – also walked into the chamber to applause ahead of her father’s speech. (Pieced together from reports by CNN and BBC)
