The National President of the Niger Delta Youth For Good Governance (NDYFGG), Comr. Lucky O.O Ukueku, has strongly condemned the killing of Mr. Richard Ekpebu, popularly known as Mr. Eazy, an estate agent in Bayelsa State.

Comr. Ukueku in a statement issued on Wednesday described Mr. Eazy as a hardworking individual and comrade in the Niger Delta student struggle, whom he knew through their involvement in the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Scholarship Students movement.

“I knew him as a dedicated and hardworking guy who supported my bid to become the National President of PAP Scholarship Students Worldwide. I was shocked to hear of his death and extend my condolences to his family. I pray God gives them the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” Comr. Ukueku stated.

He commended the Nigeria Security Agencies for swiftly investigating and arresting suspects, emphasizing that justice must be served. On behalf of NDYFGG, Comr. Ukueku extended heartfelt condolences to Mr. Eazy’s family.

Comr. Ukueku also called on the Delta State Commissioner of Police to thoroughly investigate the murder of Barr. Innocent Igho Esq., a first-class graduate from Edwin Clark University under the PAP Scholarship scheme and practicing lawyer, who was killed on August 12, 2025, in Ughelli, Delta State. He commended the Commissioner for already being on top of the matter and urged him to put in more effort to bring the suspects to justice.

Furthermore, Comr. Ukueku urged Niger Delta youth to remain calm and not take the law into their hands. “These two prominent young leaders with brighter futures have been murdered by wicked individuals. I pray for their souls to rest in the bosom of our Lord,” he added.
