Economy: FG promises better days ahead

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, believes the current economic crisis the country is facing will soon be a thing of the past.

The Vice President who spoke in Asaba today says all it requires is for the government at all levels to do the right thing.
Prof. Osinbajo spoke in his capacity as the Vice President of the federal Republic of Nigeria and special guest of honour at Delta State economic and investment summit in Asaba.
The event was put together by the state government as part of activities to mark the twenty five years anniversary of the creation of Delta State.
And according to the Vice President, the situation the nation finds itself now calls for a radical change in the types and character of leaders to be in charge of governance.
In his keynote address, former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria Professor Charles Soludo also shared similar sentiment.
But he says the federal government needs to change its current economic policies if it wants the economy to improve.
Professor Soludo who noted that Nigeria is currently at war with itself also advocated a political reform that will guarantee peace and security and ultimately encourage local and foreign investors.
Earlier in his address, governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, revealed that the economic and investment summit was part of strategy to chart a new growth trajectory for the future of the state. (TVC)
