The Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Prophet Samuel Ade Alao, yesterday, said that the church is committed to righteousness, stating that anybody claiming to be a member or leader of the church engaging in fetish, unrighteous and unbiblical activities is not part of the Cherubim and Seraphim and should be reported to the church for necessary action.
Speaking at the Thanksgiving ceremony to bring to an end the Centenary Celebration of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church, Alao stated that he feels not only elated and humbled leading the church at this time, but also grateful to God Almighty.
“It is a grace that all of us are part of this programme. It is a grace that in my own life, things are changing. And C&S has become an octopus.”
Alao said that with the celebration of the Centenary of the church, which is a positive development, it will reflect positively on Nigeria.
At the Thanksgiving service, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, represented by Bola Obasanjo; the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and Erelu Abiola Dosunmu, implored the church to remain steadfast in promoting righteousness.
Meanwhile, the Iya Aladura General and founder, The New Seraph, Dr Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, has urged the church to prioritise youth empowerment and unity, describing young people as the future of both the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church and Nigeria. (THE GUARDIAN)
