Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 12 suspected illegal Bureau de Change (BDC) operators. EFCC spokesperson, Mr. Dele Oyewale, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, stating that the suspects were apprehended on Wednesday following credible intelligence and surveillance.

He said the individuals were allegedly operating BDCs without the required licences.

“Items recovered from them include cash and exotic jewelry.

“The suspects are currently under investigation and will be arraigned in court soon,” Oyewale added. (NAN)
