A Niger Delta youth leader, Comr. Lucky O.O Ukueku, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, describing him as “unfriendly and arrogant”. He regretted supporting Oborevwori during the 2023 election, citing the governor’s “lack of humility and unwillingness to listen”.
Comr. Ukueku, in a recent statement, shared a personal experience where he felt humiliated by the governor’s son, Mr. Felix Sheriff a.k.a Olowu, which further solidified his disillusionment.
He said: “The governor's son’s behavior was particularly disappointing, given the contrast to figures like Sayi Tinubu and Davido, who despite their success, remains humble.”
Comr. Ukueku, who is National President of the Niger Delta Youth For Good Governance, recalled a specific incident where he was allegedly rebuffed by the governor’s son at his Osubi office, leaving him “feeling disrespected and unvalued.”
He condemned the governor’s administration as the worst in Delta State’s history, criticizing “his leadership style and lack of inclusivity, particularly towards the youth.” The youth activist claimed that many Urhobo youths and elders are regretting their support for the governor.
He cautioned Deltans to be wary of Governor Oborevwori’s leadership and suggested that he may not be the best option for the state come 2027.
