•Commissions 1.2km roads on Apo- Guzape Estate in Abuja.
The Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer, Federal Housing Authority (FHA), Hon Oyetunde Ojo, has revealed that with available funds , more roads will be built on its Estates across the country.
He also said that the management will continue to prioritize security of lives and properties on its Estates across the country.
Ojo dropped this hint on Tuesday during the commissioning of three road projects of 1.2km length in a row on it's Apo-Guzape Estate in Abuja .
He described roads as very important in a large settlement like the FHA Estates, among many others, to forestall both social and any other consideration.
While commending the staff, management and contractors of the Authority for teamwork, he lauded the management for multilateral decisions for positive results.
The roads commissioned are on 1st avenue is 645m, 13th Crescent, 5.40m, and E Close totaling 1.2km roads on the Estate.
Aside the construction of the hilly and mountainous roads, the inconveniences encountered on the roads was a good experience, with frequent blasting of rocks that serves as major impediments.
Ojo said that the newly constructed roads had been a threat to security of residents, lives and properties, as criminals used the area as hideouts, hence the need for construction and commissioning for use.
The FHA Managing Director said that the Authority will not renege on construction of houses, staff welfare among many other requirements that will move the authority forward.
He restated his determination to continue to rely on the synergy between his management, staff and contractors to move the agency forward.
Ojo maintained his desire to open up the authority to healthy competition, stating that if the private sector can thrive in the housing, what more of government with enabling environment, funding and regulatory enability.
He said that the vision to deliver on projects both new and existing ones will not be compromise, with a promise to enhance quality and high standards delivery.
Ojo commended the contractors for delivering a high quality and timely job, stating that he was impressed by the performance of the contractors on the 1.2km roads projects.
