…Cells in your body listen to what your mind is thinking and react accordingly

Congratulations for making it to another Saturday.

The reason why I am congratulating you is because surviving in Nigeria is not easy.

We survive in a very hard way.

Imagine a country where less than 5% of the population are singing, Great is thy faithfulness, morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed thy has provided . . .

Meanwhile, more than 95% are singing, Jesus knows all about our struggles!

But the truth is that we are not really helping ourselves.

Sometime ago I said on a radio program that my joy would know no bounds the day factories begin to take over churches.

Listeners had abused the hell out of me.

There was no name they did not call me, including Anti- Christ!

But the truth is that no nation in the world developed through prayers.

And Nigeria would never be the exception.

Just imagine the street that I am living which is not more than 200 metres.

There are five different churches and no single factory.

A lot of the time I wonder where the money for offering and tithes would be coming from since all we have is churches and no factories.

Well, that is by the way.

I want to start today by first of all appreciating those that sent me SMS after reading my topic last week.

They are awesome.

I have replied about 50 of the messages, which is the definition of a big church in the United States.

For those who don’t know. Big churches start from 50 members in the United States.

The reason is because their economy is doing well, so a lot of them are not going to church.

And that is one thing that most of our G.Os don’t want to happen in Nigeria.

Now to the business of the day –

The book of John in the Bible declared that the ‘word’ (logos) was made flesh and dwelt among us.

A lot of people found that intriguing but it is true.

The thoughts in our minds if reinforced over and over, do grow parts and become real.

That simply shows that thoughts are things and a lot of the time, we are what we think.

Even research has shown that every cell in your body is listening to what your mind is thinking and reacting accordingly.

Science has also shown that our thoughts and emotions do affect every cell in our body.

Last week, my topic on this platform was “who is in your circle?

In the column I stated that the reason why I asked the question was because the people in your circle would determine your future.

I also stated that since nobody can succeed alone, it simply means that the difference between those who are failing and those who are succeeding is the people in their circle.

Furthermore, I said that we could safely say that if you surround yourself with the right people, you will succeed. On the other hand, if you surround yourself with the wrong people you will fail and that you cannot surround yourself with pessimists, doubters, drainers, abusers and crooks and hope to succeed.

“Therefore, to succeed in business and in life, you must have people who are positive minded, people who are open minded, people who are inspiring and people who would be motivating you, instead of discouraging you when things are not going as planned.

There are people who if you have them around you, no matter how hard you try, even if you are a genius in a particular field, you would never succeed.” The topic had read in part.

As the people in your circle determine your future, your emotions determines your health and wealth.

So, the question now is what emotions are you living with?

If you are living with the emotions of anger, guilt, regret, lack, fear, unworthiness, you would never do well in business and in life.

The reason is because input (thoughts and emotions) would always determine output (reality).

Like I said above, thoughts are things and we are a lot of the time, what we think.

Jim Rohn said that we are the average of the five people that we spent the most of our time.

In the same vein, we become the thing that we spend the most of our time thinking.

Like I asked last week, who is in your circle?

This week I am asking what emotions are you living with?

What is occupying the most of your thought?

If you are living with negative emotions you would have a very poor health which would affect your business and the other things you want to achieve here on earth.

The reason is because those negative thoughts would be releasing toxins that would be causing diseases in your body unlike if you are living with gratitude, joy, love and happiness.

The reason being that those pleasurable emotions get conveyed by your nervous systems into every cell of your body and they turn on genes which create more health and more immunity which keep sickness away from you.

There is no doubt that the two most important things in the world are health and wealth

But in alphabetical order, H comes before W.

So as we say in our local parlance, you have to use your tongue and count your teeth.
