Alhaji Kabiru Sani
By GARBA MUHAMMAD, Kaduna
The Kebbi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lifted the suspension earlier placed on Alhaji Kabiru Sani Giant, the Special Adviser on Power and Political Matters to the Kebbi State Governor.
In an official letter dated July 9, 2025, and signed by the APC State Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana, the party disclosed that the decision was reached following a State Working Committee (SWC) meeting held on July 8, 2025.
The letter stated that the Committee had reviewed the apology letter submitted by Alhaji Sani Giant, dated March 23, 2025, and resolved to withdraw the suspension initially imposed on February 28, 2025. The suspension had been a result of what the party described as “offensive, embarrassing and ridiculing” actions, allegedly in violation of Article 21 (2) (ii) of the APC Constitution (2022 as Amended).
Following the review, the party declared that Sani Giant’s membership and all rights and privileges within the party have been fully reinstated. He has also been cleared to resume his normal responsibilities.
“You are therefore by this letter to continue with your normal responsibilities given to you, your rights and privileges thereto are hereby restored,” the letter read in part.
The reinstatement is seen as a reconciliatory move within the party ranks, signaling a renewed effort to foster unity ahead of future political engagements in the state.
