The attack, whichh occurred on June 20, 2025, at the Council Secretariat in Ahoada East, allegedly involved a gang of about thirty persons who assaulted Iheanachor, inflicting bodily harm on him
Iringe-Koko noted that during the attack, the administrator’s mobile phones and vital documents were stolen, and he was forced to sign a document under duress, emphasizing that the suspects also allegedly carted away both personal and official properties from his office.
She said: “Despite being invited to report to the Police State Headquarters for questioning, the suspects failed to honour the directive.
“Consequently, Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju, has declared them wanted.”

Iringe-Koko emphasized the police’s determination to bring the perpetrators to justice, stating that the declaration of the suspects as wanted is a clear indication of the Command’s resolve to uphold the law and protect the citizens of Rivers State. (The Guardian)
