Dr Paul Enenche at the Birnin Kebbi Crusade
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Thursday, refuted media reports that it rejected N30 million gift from the Kebbi state government in aid of its just concluded crusade in Birnin Kebbi.
The special adviser to the governor on Christian Affairs, Rev. Samuel Audu Dabai, stated at a news conference that the Association never rejected the money given to the body by Governor Nasir Idris.
“The officiating Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, did not wave the money away.
“On stage, he remarked that, he’ll not need the money personally, but advised CAN to reinvest the funds for the well-being of humanity to improve the care of orphanage or utilise it properly for the betterment of the Christian community.
“Dunamis Ministry does not accept monetary gift for crusade from anywhere, Dr. Enenche solely sponsors his programmes.
“In my capacity as the special adviser to the governor on Christian Affairs, I signed and collected the money on behalf of the Christian community.
“The money is well received, we will put it on execution of Christian projects in the state,” Rev. Dabai said. (Blueprint)
