There will be disruption to water supply in the Federal Capital Territory in the next two weeks, the FCT Water Board has announced.
The board, in a statement, alerted its customers that due to the ongoing rehabilitation works of the water treatment plants at Lower Usuma Dam, there would be disruption of water supply to both city centre and the outskirts.
The board said the rehabilitation work would pave the way for the connection of the electro-mechanical equipment of its treatment plants, which is a major component of the rehabilitation work.
The disruption, according to the board, started on Friday, May 30 and will run till Friday, June 13.
“In view of this development, the FCT Water Board hereby appeals to the residents particularly its customers to kindly store water that may last them for this period, including an alternative supply to argument their need.
“Any inconveniences that might be experienced by our customers is highly regretted,” the statement read in part. (Weekend Trust)
