A nascent civil society group, the People's Opposition, has kick-started a #FixNaijaElections campaign, aimed at electoral rejig. In a broadcast gaining engagement on social media recently, the group says it has officially launched the #FixNaijaElections Campaign and is "taking the first decisive steps toward building a credible electoral system in Nigeria."

The People's Opposition, via its broadcast, has published an electoral reform bill tagged "FixNaijaElections Reform" with a "comprehensive proposal" containing constitutional and electoral amendments.

"This comprehensive proposal lays out constitutional and electoral amendments needed to fix INEC and secure credible elections," the broadcast read in part.

The group stated that it sets to achieve "100, 000 signatures to support the reform bill."

In signing the bill, prospective participants are expected to sign in via "https://www.thepeoplesopposition.org/fixinec", create a 1-minute video, and get 10 people to sign the bill.
