A member of House of Representatives and Southwest Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Seyi Sowunmi, has embarked on a tour of states in Southwest to mobilise support ahead of the Southwest Obidient Movement Conference on Saturday.

During his visits to capitals of the six Southwest states, he was received by state leaders, including Prof. Biodun Ambode, Lanre Fadahunsi, Emmanuel Oladotun, Dele Abiola, among others

Sowunmi emphasised the need for grassroots mobilisation, citizen engagement, and increased participation in shaping policies that reflect the region’s social and economic needs.

Addressing youth groups, community leaders, and civil society organisations, he called for a collective push towards a more equitable society and accountable government.

Sowunmi said the conference will serve as a platform for reflection, strategy, and the articulation of a unified agenda.
