Music sensation and former member of the Anambra State Assembly, Hon. Tony “One-Week” Muonagor, has reminded the Anambra people that the unwritten rule regarding the rotation of the office of Anambra state governor among the three senatorial zones in the state is still in force.
He said this when the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) hosted an endorsement rally for the governorship re-election bid of the State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, at Idemili North LGA Headquarters, Ogidi, on April 4, 2025.
Hon. Muonagor said that the rotation of the office of the Anambra State Governor among the three senatorial zones in the state engenders unity among the people and makes for inclusivity.
"The practice of the rotation of the office of the governor among Anambra state's three senatorial zones eliminates the feelings of alienation amongst us.
"It offers each senatorial zone in the state the opportunity to produce Anambra state governor. This makes the people of a senatorial zone have sense of belonging.
"So based on the principle of fairness and equity, and flowing from the fact that the Anambra South Senatorial Zone has not served its turn completely, it is incumbent on us to support Gov. Soludo in his re-election bid," Muonagor said.
He said that the large turnout of people for the APGA rally was an indication that Gov. Soludo would win his re-election bid.
He premised his optimism and prediction of victory for Gov. Soludo in the November 2025 Anambra governorship election on his solid and unrivalled achievements in all areas of governance, which endeared him to the people.
He made a promise to do a remix of his APGA campaign song, which would be used for electioneering.
And he urged all the APGA faithful in Anambra state to leave no stone unturned in their efforts to secure victory for Prof. Soludo in the election.
The APGA endorsement rally which drew a mammoth crowd was attended by Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim, the deputy governor of Anambra state; SSG of Anambra state, Prof. Solu Chukwulobe; former TC Chairman of Idemili North LGA, Chief Chuksbrown Igboanua; Chief Asha Nnabuife; Bob-manuel Udokwu; and others.
