60 support groups contribute N30m to Gov. Soludo’s re-election

Sixty support groups, under the auspices of All Soludo Support Groups (ASSG), on Thursday contributed N30 million to ensure the re- election of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra .

Speaking at an event organised by ASSG, ahead of APGA primaries on April 5, Gov. Soludo said that there was a consensus by community leaders, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) stakeholders and youths, for him to run for a second term.

He referenced his administration’s visible developments and achievements to the consensus by the people of the state calling him to run for a second term.

According to him, the government will continue to work to achieve the ”Anambra of our dream.

“I appreciate you all and I promise to sustain the vision of ‘One State’, ‘One People’, ‘One Agenda’, ‘One Indivisible Anambra State’.

“You are asking me to contest, Saturday is APGA primaries, I appeal that you pray for me,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the support groups, Mr Chinedu Nwoye, expressed the group’s readiness to collaborate with the governor.

Nwoye said that the groups raised N30 million to rally support for Gov. Soludo’s second term bid.

According to him, the support of the group is organic and for the greater good of the state.

“Men, women and youths donated what they have for us to raise the sum of N30 million. We are presenting the cheque to you to support and encourage you to go for second term.

“Mr Governor, we have already seen the promise land and you cannot leave us at this level, we plead you take us there,” he said. (NAN)
