Governor Fubara with visiting Rivers ex-LG chairmen

The immediate past Chairmen of the 23 local government areas (LGA) in Rivers have called on the people of the state to be more united, law-abiding and peaceful.
The Chairmen made the remark during the solidarity visit to suspended Gov. Siminalayi Fubara at his private residence in Port Harcourt on Wednesday and urged the people to also ensure the state’ stability.
The former Rivers Chairman of the Association of Local Government Chairmen in Nigeria (ALGON), Mr Prince Ichemati, said that the visit was to show unwavering support and commitment to the leadership style of Fubara.
Ichemati, also the former Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Council, said that the former Chairmen embarked on the visit to reassure the Fubara of their unflinching loyalty and dedication to his mandate.
He urged the people to continue to rally support for the suspended governor despite the political challenges facing the state.
According to him, we pray that God intercede and defend the governor at this trying moment in the state political history. (NAN)
