Kogi Central residents protest Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s suspension

Protesting residents of Kogi Central senatorial district

In a video obtained by Tribuneonline, residents of Kogi Central senatorial district were seen in the streets in protest against the suspension of a senator in the constituency, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, demanding her immediate reinstatement.

During the demonstration, constituents held placards and banners with inscriptions such as: “Natasha our pride,” “We stand with Senator Natasha,” “100% support for Natasha,” “Let Natasha breathe,” and “We pass vote of confidence on Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.”

Recall that the senator was suspended for six months over alleged misconduct following a dispute in the Senate. However, her constituents insist that the decision is unfair and denies them proper representation.

Community leaders and civil society organizations have also condemned the suspension, with some filing a legal petition against Senate leaders, accusing them of abuse of office. Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has vowed to challenge the decision in court. (Nigerian Tribune)

Mr President is right , And Mr President is also wrong. We fight for democracy and we also fight to destroy democracy . My people perish for lack of knowledge. God bless Nigeria.
