Two quick second half goals this night saw Portugal cruising into the finals of Euro 2016 after defeating hard-fighting Wales 2-0 in the first semi-final of the championship decided in Lyons, France.
After a barren first half, Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock with a tremendous header in the 50th minute after hanging in the air above James Chester to meet a corner from the left flank.
Three minutes later it was practically all over for the Wales after Ronaldo caught the defence sleeping and shot low from 25 yards, with Nani stretching to divert the ball past a wrongfooted Wayne Hennessey and into the net.
The second semi-final between Germany and France comes up tomorrow.
