President General of the Obosi Development Union ODU, Barr Chimezie Obi

The effervescent President General of the Obosi Development Union (ODU), Barr. Chimezie Obi, has tasked students in Obosi to take their education, seriously, stating that education is an equalizer of opportunities between children of the rich and children of the poor.
He made the assertion on the occasion of the maiden Obosi Trade Fair and Youth Conference, which took place at the Obosi town hall.
Barr. Obi poured encomiums on Ambassador I K Okoma and Barr. Oby Ajegbo, the organisers of the event, for using their hard-earned financial resources to organize the programme as well as devoting their ample time to work for the successful hosting of the event.
He said that he formed the ODU Committee on education in order for it to create a salubrious environment and convivial atmosphere in which students can learn while eulogizing the Okoma and Igboebisi educational foundations for assisting students from poor homes to acquire qualitative primary and post-primary school education.
More so, Barr. Obi thanked the proprietor of Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School, Obosi, for his ceaseless efforts aimed at reviving the youths' dying interest in education as well as assisting them to get financial lifeline for their educational pursuits.
He said that the youths would become leaders in the future; and as such, it is incumbent on parents and teachers to inculcate good morals into their children and wards.
In his own remarks, the chairman of the Obosi 1 household and 2 skills project (OBISEP), Nze Chisom Onugha, promised to unroll a programme that would cater to the educational, vocational, and emotional needs of youths in Obosi.
He described the students as shining light, and admonish them to go forth in the world and radiate their light, telling them that the Obosi town union and the Anambra state government are supportive of their educational and vocational quests.
During the youth conference, Prof. Benson Onyire, Bishop Chidoka, Barr. Lightman Okolo, and Rev. Albert Green took turns to present their speeches and lectures to the youths.
And students from Union Secondary School, Obosi; Maranatha Excellent and Unique School, Obosi; King of Kings Vocational Institution, Obosi; Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School, Obosi; and Community Secondary School, Obosi took part in the youth conference.
